Canon 7D warranty registration

Quick question. Having just acquired a 7D, is there supposed to be a warranty registration card included with it?

I always assumed this was the case with Canon products but there doesn't appear to be any such card included in the box.

Not a problem if it's not supposed to be there, was just curious

'acquired' a 7D - new or used? If used, the original owner might have already done it?

All Canon UK require to honour the warranty is proof of purchase by you from an authorised EU dealer. Warranties only apply to the original purchaser and aren't transferable.

if you have a recipt from the shop you got it from the warrenty is valid, if you don't you don't have a warrently

Thanks guys. It's a brand new UK sourced model with receipt - I just didn't pay for it as it was a gift

That the best way to acquire a 7D....question is who's buying you the 24-70L

Happy with my 17-55 for now - I actually did what most people seem to recommend and concentrated on the glass before the body and think I've now got a fairly good kit bag
