Canon 80-200mm f2.8

Anyone got the above lens? Whats the quality of image like?Is it really a monster?

If you mean 70-200 then I have a version and it is SOOOOO great, I can only hope my skill will eventually match the quality

I suspect that on a value for money basis this lens would be an excellent buy.
It's always had a good reputation and it isn't long ago that I was stood alongside a press togger who was using one. HTH

I have one, still a stunning lens. Only downside is the fact it's pre USM so focus isn't as quick or quiet. Weight wise it's somewhere between the 70-200 f4 non IS and the 70-200 f2.8 non IS. You can pick them up for very good money, sometimes less than the f4 non IS. If you want the extra stop and can cope with the slower ( but still perfectly acceptable) autofocus then it's an absolute bargain. Would love to update to the latest 70-200 f2.8 but can't justify it when the old girl still performs so well.
