Canon 90-300mm

I had one, it shipped with the EOS-3000V SLR twin-zoom kit. It's a derivative of the 75-300mm lens and available with or without USM. 2nd hand probably about £75.

Suffers with flare and poor sharpness below F8 or when above 200mm.

Cheapest way to 300mm probably. Personally at this price range I'd pick up an old 70-210mm F4 which is in a different league IMO.

If you still want 300mm, maybe look at the Tamron 70-300mm f4-5.6 Di LD instead. WEX are sellling them for £123.99. The biggest reason I turned that down in favour of the one I'm buying from you is the lack of IS.

Yeh I still want a nice zoom lens but not as expensive as the one I sold you.
I have no use in money making ways, the lens is purely just for fun.

That's what I suspected - from reviews it looks like the Tamron should serve you well and isn't that much more money than the Canon lens you were looking at. A few other people on here recommended it to me.
