lots of adaptors that go the other way - i.e. allow you to fit a canon EF lens to a sony A camera - no experience of this one, but I'd imagine it'll be pretty dreadful, considering the fact that it's Image quality is likely to be compromised pretty severely by the lens needed to ensure that you keep infinity focus. After all its £26, only a small component of which being the cost of the glass - do you really want to compromise the quality of your lenses by shining them through the bottom of a jam-jar ?

actually - referring to my trusty reference chart on "lens registration distances" it appears that the canon EF mount needs a registration distance of 44.5mm and has a "throat aperture" diameter (the hole in the front of the camera body) of 54mm where the Sony A mount needs a registration distance of 44mm and has a diameter of 49.7mm - now this is pretty damned close but I'm guessing that the above adaptor actually uses a "matching" lens because a "flat" adaptor plate would be too thin to actually hold the lens securely - there only being 0.5mm of metal between the camera body and the lens flange...
(by "flat" adaptor I mean something like this - which adapts a contax/yashica mount (45.5mm registration and 48mm "throat") to the Canon EF mount - 1mm of metal being thick enough to hold the camera and lens together securely, and allow the corresponding bayonet fittings to be milled into a thicker section in the middle of the plate - these adaptors work well, and have no degradation to the image quality...
of course, neither of these adaptors will actually allow the Autofocus to work on the Canon lens...

I had a feeling it may be problematic although there are adapters for the NEX but had no luck with google. I quite like the look of the 760 and thought that it may be possible to get an adapter to try an a-mount on the 760 before committing cash if it didn't work out.
