Hi -

I have a 50d. I can shoot the drive mode to be one shot, continuous drive, high speed continuous drive and two timer modes.

I was wondering what the pro's and con's of HIGH SPEED continuous drive are compared to regular continuous drive mode.

Cheers,
Dub

I might be missing somehting in the question here (its been one of them days) but isnt it as simple as it says on the box? HIGH means you have more shots per second so more chance of getting the shot you want... Not a problem shooting a plant pot.. but might help shooting a bee on the plant :)

ok let me rephrase it.. why would you use the NON-high speed continuous mode instead of the high speed one.. that's what i'm really wanting to know :)

With a low(er) speed continuous shoot, the AI servo has more chance between shutter actuations to guess where it should focus to next Dubcat, so essentially you're giving yourself more chance of nailing each shot in succession

ads :)

I normally keep it on low speed continuous as a compromise for everyday use. If I'm gently pressing the shutter down to avoid shake I'll sometimes take 2 shots with high-speed mode, that's why I avoid it.
