Canon battery charger lead..which amperage?

As per title...I need a new "kettle figure of 8 lead" for an original Canon charger for my 5D Mark II and was wondering what amp fuse do they have?

Please could someone check theirs.

5 amp maximum.

If you buy a new cable it should come with a low amperage fuse.

Sorry Admirable but sticking a 13amp fuse in is a possible fire risk, those figure of 8 cables are not designed to take 13 amps so shouldn't be fused as such.

Just checked my origional Canon one it has a 5 amp fuse

To be honest I don't think it matters a hoot. I took my 50D to France with a continental figure of 8 lead (no fuse) and it worked fine.
 
Jeez you are correct, I removed the fuse and it's a 3AMP! The fuse is in a holder and I could only see the 3 so presumed it was a 13, close call.

I will get one from Maplins which has a 5 amp fuse fitted as standard.

You'd be hootin an tootin as yer house burns down LOL

If you plugged the lead into a shaver socket the socket is fused at 5 amps.

Fuses are there for a reason not just for Christmas ( err summat went wrong there LOL )
