Canon battery grip advice needed?

I have the Canon battery grip for the 400d and have heard from people that there is a compartment where the battery cover from the 400d can be stashed. Can anyone tell me where this is? Cheers

I presume its like this.

Should be at the side of the main shaft, not so much a compartment but a slot it sits in. If it the same ast the ones I have got.

Thanks to this thread, I've just discovered there's a slot on the BG-E2 grip for the 40D to put the battery door in!

Never knew this before! Although I always use my camera with grip attached.

Oh btw guys, if you shake your camera it will sound like there is stuff loose - it will be this if you have not already worked it out!
