Not 100% what you're asking, yes a grip on a camera body can be a benefit. It doubles battery life (as it uses 2 batteries) and adds some depth to the camera body, which can make it easier to hold / more comfortable to hold if you've big hands. Also the grips tend to have a duplicate set of controls on, so it can help with Portrait orientation shooting.
Yeah, adding a grip definitely gives you more to get hold of, and is especially helpful if you've got a long / heavy lens attached. I'd recommend a Canon E-1 strap to go with it.
