Canon camera owners in Plymouth – I need your bodies!

I’ve just bought a trigger system for my studio lights only to find it isn’t compatible with my 10D. Initially when it arrived I thought it was a faulty unit – didn’t trigger and returned the dreaded ERR 99 on the Canon, but I popped round to Ed Bray’s (thanks Ed) as he has a 5D and a 10D as well. Worked just fine with the 5D, but just gives the same ERR 99 with his 10D – the British distributor is in discussion with the manufacturer, so maybe they can resolve the issue. Now I rather like my old 10D and don’t tend to change cameras until they die and go beyond economic repair, though I have been thinking it was about time for a 2nd body. I tend only to buy 2nd hand I’m wondering if the same issue will be present with the 20/30/40D’s, being likely candidates for my next buy. Only one 'body' so far & that's another 10D - but they want to try some studio flash gear so that's OK as well
