Canon camera upgrade recommendation

I'M looking to upgrade from my old canon 1000d i got a budget of around 400 - £600 to spend i love taking pics of motosports rallying most of all, looking on recommendations i was thinking of getting the canon 600d, thanks

just bought a 600d myself no complaints with it at all I only bought it for the flippy out twiddly screen
also bought a couple of lens to go with it
efs 17-55 IS usm f2.8 cracking lens but a price tag to match
efs 55-250 IS f4-5.6 good lens for the price

im using the 50-250 IS lens its a great lens but i do miss the USM from my 28-105mm lens i know there a new version of the 50-250 IS lens out the II version but from what i can see not mutch dif but thanks for the info looking like its the 600d for me so far

Maybe look at a s/hand 40D or 50D for motorsports, they have almost double the fps which would be a great help for that sort of photography

If you like motorsport I'd seriously consider a SH 1D Mk II.

I would agree with this the 8 fps of the 50d and an alloy body not plastic. There are at least 2x40d in the fs forum 1 at £340 the other at £370. And neither are mine.

Don't think the 50D does 8fps that's 7D territory, 40D does 6.3 fps and think the 50D is ever so slightly slower.

1d mk2 you'll not regret it and plenty of change from £600

Starting down a slippery slope there, why not spend a few quid more and go for the 7d, to be honest that's probably ideal for what you mainly want a camera for, 8fps, far better AF especially for moving targets and stronger weatherproof build

That sort of thinking can go on forever though and think in your position I would go for the 60D over the 600D

i know that u mean tijuana about the slippery slope i would like a camera that can support the EF-S lens as the lens i use often on event i know it aint the greatest lens to use but dose the job for me untill i get the 70-200L lens.
