Canon concept camera for 2030

Video will be long gone, it will be 3D at the least

Obviously Canon would say that they are aiming to make a single perfect lens to connect to a single camera that works up to professional standard...but I can't see it happening. If every photographer needed a single camera and that was it then Canon would lose a fortune. Body+Lenses is a much better business to be in than Body alone. People pay £25k to Canon to achieve similar results...why would they do anything that might risk that?

I can't imagine that concept cam would go cheap. Plus, it would either be the market leader and thus in high-demand, or other companies would have similar cameras in production, forcing them to compete. One way or another, when the technology allows, the camera will be produced.

i like viewfinders...preferably electronic..not these hold up in front of you jobs

Marketing crap! ... That's about as close to true photography as a 'hot dog' is to good sausage ..... :D

In the not too distant past this would have been a concept camera...

A zoom lens with sliders, touch screen technology etc probably already exists... BUT, smart money is that the camera companies are paying extortionate amounts to keep the camera from being released (due to the £ arguments raised above)

I see your point by posting that image, but cameras like that fall short on so many aspects that there are always alternatives for different aspects of photography.

This "wonder" camera however claims to excell at everything in a very small package so that you needn't buy anything else ever again.

Coo

wide angle to 5,000mm lens :thinking:

hope its a f2.8 :geek::geek:

I seem to remember that Canon had a film camera styled in the same ( jelly ) mould about 20 years back.

Oh well time will tell :)

It needs to be at least f1.2 if it is out-doing all lenses currently available - which it would have to do.
