Now this is not the usual tirade about a faulty camera just the opposite, about 4 years ago I bought my wife a canon A80 compact and to cut a long story short my youngest daughter hijacked it when she went to work away about 9 months ago.She works at an outward bound centre and wanted the camera to record the caving canoeing climbing etc that she does, now to say she has treated the camera with a lack of respect is putting it mildly and so far has been dropped in a river down a cliff and a couple of caves,I have glued back parts of the top plate twice BUT IT STILL WORKS PERFECTLY.
So I thought I will call Canon and tell them what a good little camera this has been,Bad Bad Move
So far I have called and been put through to 3 different people all of whom said they could not help because they only dealt with faults, had 2 e-mails giving me a call number for a fault I have not reported and finally a call to my home last Wednesday and as I was out they would definitely call back later, guess what no call
So Canon if this is the service you give someone who wants to be nice to you god help those who need to complain
