Hello people. I am now the proud owner of the Canon 50D and it's software package DPP. I am now shooting my stuff in RAW and wondered if there were any tips on the DPP side of things? Settings/Best Practice?
Posted my first images using this software in the bird forum earlier.

Thanks ever so much.

Hi and welcome to the forums.

The best tip I can offer is to use DPP to convert your RAW images and don't feel you need to do anything else to them just because you can.

However, depending on the lenses you might want to add a little sharpenning. Use the brightness control if your picture looks a little over or under exposed.

Really you need to ask specific questions about it though then I'm sure there are plenty here who will offer advise.

I find I use it a lot if I am not planning on doing any special effects or artwork to the images. If the picture comes from the camera pretty much as you need it you should only need to do a few tweaks in DPP.
