Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM

Anyone had any experience with this lens? Looking as a possible purchase for weddings. If you have any examples feel free to share

Can't help with wedding examples, although I have seen some crackers, but this was the last image taken with mine.

It's not better (other than, arguably, build), but it is a LOT more expensive !

Had one for a while but it wasn't for me. No complaints though if you can pick one up for a good price.

You are aware there have been three versions of the Canon 100mm macro over the years? The one you appear to be referring to is the middle one and is now discontinued in favour of the L-IS which as the name suggests has image stabilisation which the two earlier versions didn't have.

So it does - I stand corrected! I'd assumed it had been replaced, but it looks like they're keeping both options alive, and with the non-IS version at roughly half the price of the IS version!

Ones an L lens and one isn't, hense the price difference.
