Canon EF 200mm f/2 L IS - hand-on first impressions

Err ... it's a bit small.

And fitting the hood is REALLY fiddly.

But I saved nearly £5000 compared to the usual price, AND I got a 1Ds III thrown in for free, so I guess I can't complain.

I haven't been able to manage that yet, I'm afraid. I can't work out how to get a CF card into the camera.

They come up from time to time on eBay. Here's one.

Canon make these limited edition models from time to time to commemorate this and that. I have a 1/6 scale 1Ds Mk II and 600mm f/4 which they made to celebrate their 30 millionth EF lens in 2006.
