I received some great advice from here a year ago and was hoping for a repeat performance.
I currently have the EF 70-200 F4 IS (along with the standard kit lens). I'm now looking to buy a second decent lens for my bag and I am considering the two lenses mentioned in the title. I'm basically after a lens that will probably be stuck on the camera for the majority of the time and can take really nice indoors and outdoors family shots (I currently do this with the 70-200 but spend too much time having to back away!).
I'm leaning towards the 24-70, but the 17-55 has IS and some great reviews (apart from dust?!). The price differential between the two lenses isn't really an issue.
Any thoughts/advice?
Thanks...
