Canon EF 28mm f2.8 - Worth a buy?

I usually do alot of automotive photography and also golf/close up sports

I already have a 50mm f1.8 prime but was wondering whether it would be worth getting a 28 as I seem to have to stand a fair way back to get the whole vehicle/player in shot

It's a decent enough lens, but the 35/2 is more versatile with it's faster maximum aperture and still fairly wide view

If you are considering 28 at f/2.8 you might as well get a zoom that covers it.

thanks, what zoom would you recommend? I have the 18-55 kit lens but its not great to say the least

I like 28mm. I almost had a 28mm f/1.8 but it's been lost in transit from the seller! :bonk:

If you're thinking a Zoom, if you're on a crop sensor why not a Tamron 17-50mm? Great little lens - bargain price too!
