No
i know its an ancient lens but wondered if anyone had/used one and there thoughts on it.
simply put i have 10-18 coming, my nifty 50 and a 70-300 and just wanted something to fill the gap .
having just purchased the 10-18 my budget is virtually nil ( £50 ) and found one of these for £45 ..
worth getting?

only other options i can find for that price are
Canon EF-S 18-55 mm f/3.5-5.6 II
or something like the 28-80 or worse 35-70

im not to worried about the gap between 18-35 that i'll be missing out on.. but jumping from 18mm to my next step of 50mm, is a bit to wide for my liking and the fact it has no rotating front element and uses USM motor means its not going to be slow and noisy like the older ones such as the 28-80 or 28-105 or similar.
i have seen an 18-55 STM on auction that im watching as well but also the 35-135 i think would be a good range for portrait or candid shots even though its only f4-f/5.6 and might even with a raynox 250 on it be ok for some macro shots.

i ended up picking up dirt cheap a very nice but old 28-105 MACRO USM canon lens.. great little lens and pin sharp too.
