Well, I've had this for about 6 months now and although I've always liked it, I seemed to have a focus issue with it that I could never resolve with micro adjusting.

I was about to swap it for a EF 28mm f/2.8 until a few friends pointed out I was mad, and that the 35mm is far far better.

So I took it in for a little service today where they diagnosed a "friction issue" in the mechanism, sorted it and wow, its like an entirely different lens, the images are so nice and sharp, even at f/2, I'm blown away with how good it is, easily as good optically as the 85mm f/1.8 IMO.

Glad I didnt sell it!

I have a 17-40L that covers this range but still use the 35 f2 instead... its stunning esp works well at high iso and low light for me...use it for Boxing shoots as well :)
 
Lol ok!! I've only got the first set of test pics which arnt inspiring (just around the house stuff), I'm going out in a bit to test it properly so I'll put some of those up!
