Ok after looking on ebay does seem cheap any known faults with this lens

Depends on age, condition and where they are being sold from - private sale or shop (so poss guarantee).

A Mark II TC tends to go for around the £2-230 mark (give or take), the Mark I will be slightly less.

The 70-200 tends to be around £750-850 dependant on age and condition, so seems to be possibly a good price, dependant on various factors above...

It's an excellent price, so I'd suggest to be cautious.

I presume it is second hand? (otherwise definitely looks too good to be true)

It might help if you let people know where this is from - to provide advise on whether it should be ok or potently a scam

Seen it on a local ad hes said the lens is 2006 model he said I can go look and try it out he has a few other lens for sale also he had it listed for 850 but I offerd 800

If you can go and try, then this should give you that extra peace of mind as you can walk away if it's not for you. Did he accept your £800 offer ?

I presume he's selling the TC as well - if so, I'd def try the lens with and without the TC as sometimes with the 2x TC, you can loose quality...
