Do you mean that with a 12mm extender, the 85mm minimum focussing distance becomes 498mm, i.e. 50cm?
thats what i meant by magnification - the closest distance i could get to the subject and still focus. end result is the subject filling the frame more = higher magnification. (I think?) The trouble is, on full frame, I often can't fill the frame with my subject (quite often a cat or small dog) whereas I could on a cropper, so I need to shorten my minimum focussing distance.
Bob - a lot of that sounds like foreign language to me. Do you mean that with a 12mm extender, the 85mm minimum focussing distance becomes 498mm, i.e. 50cm? that should be enough actually, and I quite like the compactness of the kenko 12mm![]()
Kenkos are fine but I wouldn't hang a 600mm off the end.
