There aren't many UWA lenses for crop sensors and none of them are really designed for low light. The Tokina is F2.8 but 11-16mm isn't much of a range.
I'd be interested in this if I didn't already have the 10-22mm lens already. I guess it depends on how it performs against the 10-22mm because if it's a lot better than I could still be interested but I'd be surprised if there was much difference.
Longer exposures don't really help with anything that movies High ISO/Wide apertures are the only remedies for that unless you want to start flashing stuff or turning more lights on!
I don't think the 10-22mm will drop in price tbh since this new one is supposed to fit in with the other budget lenses like 17-55mm stm kit lens and the 50-250mm stm. I guess if this new lens is miles better then prices could drop a bit but I suspect it won't be better.
If the launch price of £299 drops to around £220, which I suspect it might, this lens will be snapped up. If it's anything like the 55-250mm in IQ, then it will be well worth it even for casual use.
