Apart from it being maybe a bit short has anyone had any issues with this lens cheers...Ray:)

I had one a few years ago when I had a 20D. Very very sharp indeed. As you say, possibly a bit short for macro at times but it doubles up quite nicely as a portrait lens and it's cracking for product type shots. I've never really heard anyone complain about it at all.
There are times it's not the fastest focussing lens and it can hunt a bit on AF but to be fair you're more likely to use it on manual focus for macro anyway, so not really a problem. I'd highly recommend it anytime!

cheers

Thats great Bill i havnt used mine yet i only bought it today and the weathers a bit bad, all the reviews ive read speak highly of it, the reason i bought it is i like to take 2 cameras with me and the 100mm was a bit on the heavy side although a great lens cheers Bill:thumbs:

:agree: Lovely lens.

An uber sharp lens. Never used mine for AF purposes, purely for macro and it's fantastic glass for the money

Bit short if you're shooting insects, but for stuff like coins etc. you can't get a better lens for the money
