Canon eos 1 batteries- knackered?

Getting ready for Croft this weekend and charging batteries, two indicate charged when coupled to the mains unit but when fitted into the camera nothing happens, multi meter shows good charge though! Help.
Other batteries functioning ok so not a charger problem.
