Well, I've finally got my 20D and have been taking plenty of photos and annoying my family. I'm pretty impressed so far, although I've mostly used the automatic setting I've had a quick play with some other modes and all seems well :D

I can't wait to get started and get some even better photos taken! :D

A very capable camera, the 20D Josh, and nothing wrong with using the automatic settings to get the hang of it.

When you get that "perfect shot", stop and think how you could have improved it.

Thanks Bob, I need to figure out how to save images in the RAW format so I can have a play with Adobe Lightroom
 
Ah right, I've just figured out I can't save files in the RAW format if I am shooting in auto mode. Time to start playing with the program mode :D
 
You can save files in RAW in any mode, you just need to set it to RAW in picture quality settings.

Do yourself a favour and download Faststone image viewer it's great for looking at RAW images and it's free.

Not strictly true Chris. You can only use raw in P, Av etc but not in green box or landscape, portrait etc.

20D is a great camera and still my favourite to use. Unfortunately mine was stolen otherwise if still have it.
