canon eos 400d, isnt recognized by windows 7

Hi

Just got a new laptop and my Canon eos 400d, isnt recognized by windows 7, I looke4d under my computer and I can see it as a removable drive,can anyone help please ?

It was the same with Vista until the camera companies updated their drivers and lets face it they have known about W7 for ages,so in the interim why not just get a card reader.

How long does it take before Canon will update EOS Utilty anyone any ideas

You could download the EOS utility from the Canon website, and use the folder created by plugging in the camera as a monitor folder?

My 450D works fine under W7, i used the newest EOS utility from the canon website
