Canon dropped the price the 50D and 500D on September 1st.

Jessops do seem to be quite good on some prices at the mo, Sony 70-300 G is only £499 there thats the cheapest I have seen by quite a way.

Camera prices just now are shocking. I paid £425 for a 450d with 18-55 kit lens at Jessops last December then got £50 back from the cashback offer. Now it is nearer £500 i think.

Thanks mate. Went down to Jessops and they matched the £519 price!
Now, looking for a decent walkabout lens...thinking about the 17-85 IS USM...

No probs - actually if you order through Quidco you can get upto a further 8-9% discount from Jessops! (not sure if this includes SLR / Lens though)
