I bought one from procamerashop for £988. Great service online. Great service by phone. UK company. Dispatched within two days from their warehouse near Gatwick, not from Hong Kong. Very pleased with it.
If you have the cash in your account, you can pay by bank transfer and they will discount you 3% because it won't cost them the credit card fee, so they pass the saving on to you. I bought mine on my credit card. I was thinking about getting the 70-200 F2.8L at the same time, and they were happy to give me a little bit more discount.
