As title my camera has setting for image stabilizer setting (enable/disable) does that mean i also have to have a lens with image stabilizer for it to work...?

If the IS is build into the body should work with any lens

No, some M lenses don't have an IS switch on them,this feature on the camera is to switch on or off IS for these lenses, lenses with a switch behave as normal, you need a lens with stabilization.
