Canon EOS utility

[James306]

I had Canon EOS utility installed on my laptop from the CD that came with my 40D, however it has gone from my laptop and the CD is in the box in my parents loft so I can't get to it until next week

Anyone know where I can download it from? All I can find on the Canon website is updates for older versions and I need it for a project i'm intending to do this weekend.

My local camera shop lent me a copy when I losed mine. Might be worth a try

Canon don't provide it for download. The only options are to contact Canon for a copy of the disk to come by post, or to borrow a disk.

I'm not going to be able to get to any camera shops before the weekend, unless there are any willing/helpful EOS owners in the Gosport/Fareham area willing to loan me their CD for the 10 minutes it takes to install?

I shall search for the 'hack' to install from the update as I will only get one shot at this project which is only happening this weekend

I've come across this before some were. Try Canon USA. I think an older version was LEGITIMATELY available there. What are you trying to do that other software doesn't do better?

I managed to find a way of tricking it and managd to get it installed!

Thanks for your suggestions people
