Canon EOS1000D - battery

Sorry guys but i've left my manual at my mum's house,
so i was wondering if anyone can confirm the type of battery a Canon EOS1000D takes?

Googled and it's came up with LP-E5 Battery,

any others that fit?

it seems you can get non branded ones for about £5/£6 - is it worth sticking to branded one though?

Not really as long as you buy your non-branded ones from a reputable source. Of course, if you have your camera with you, you could see what it says on the back of the battery.

ebay have some good non branded ones iirc its the higher the ohms :boggle: that last longer i cant remember. i almost bought a few a while ago but never use the camera long enough to warrent extra batteries .
