Yes
We went to a halloween party last night. I was using the flash hapilly when the batteries ran out. So I changed em and carried on.

After a while I realised the flash had stopped firing. The flash was still on and triggering the red range finder beam but the flash itself would not fire. I noticed the Pilot light was off and decided the flash wasn't charging. I switched it off and left it an hour. No joy. I changed batteries again no joy.

Then half an hour later I switched it on and after a minute the pilot light came on the the flash worked. After that for the reset of the night I had no problems.

Has anyone else seen this? Was it user error?

The manual states that you should not fire more than 20 continuous flashes.

If you do you should 'rest' the flash for 10min.

It also mentions a 'inner overheating prevention function' which extends the recycle time.

Maybe this ?

Could it be dirty contacts on camera hotshoe, I have experienced similar.

Never seen this happen before, if still within warranty, return it.
