Canon extender 1.4 replacement "caps"

Hi chaps, just bought a used 1.4 extender but no caps, they're on ebay for £20 - I have a spare cap that fits the camera end but a regular camera body cap doesn't quite fit the other end ... anyone any ideas to make a cheapskate happy (it's a bit inelegant using a rubber band) - Roger

The proper part (CANON ORIGINAL EXTENDER LENS CAP E II) is also for sale on eBlag - weigh in about £20 too (for a modified body cap!) At that rate you'd be better off using a cheap T2 mount (£3 & up), a piece of tinplate and some araldite to block up the hole in the front of the T2 mount

When I was looking for a spare extender cap the average price was between £5-10, but most retailers were out of stock............ I just quickly searched and found this (click here - but only 2 left in stock), but am sure you will be able to find more at or around this level.

Thanks Jason, that's worth a look ... the amazon cap looks like the wrong photo (it looks like the lens to camera end of the extender so I'e emailed the supplier for clarification ... thanks both ... Roger
