canon eyepiece extender ??

as my standard one has gone walkies , i was thinking about getting one of these as i wear glasses , good idea or not ??

It makes the viewfinder a lot smaller, try out in a shop first to see if you like it or not.

thanks both , it aint going to help me though , i have just noticed that you need the original eyecup as well , which i have lost :bonk:

My better half swears by his, though I have doctored it by removing the plastic lens and the little metal frame. This means that you have the increased distance from the camera (Cleaner screen) without the reduction in the viewfinder size. It's perfect for him as he wears varifocal lenses and finds that with the normal eyepiece he can't get his glasses in the right place to get all the info in the viewfinder in focus.

cheers , has anyone gone the cheap route and bought an ebay special for £3 , and if so , was it any good ??

got myself a new canon one , and used a small piece of blutak rolled real thin to fit into the groove where the eyecup fits , nice and snug now
