Canon FD lenses on EOS bodies???

Hello

Just wondering has anyone here used the adapters available to convert the old FD lenses for use on EOS bodies?

Ive found a nice 400mm FD prime but so far all the adapters ive seen have a lens? is this to allow focus to infinity? Im assuming the extra bit glass could affect image quality, anyone any experience of these???

The adaptor with a lens element in, are as you thought to allow focusing to infinity. They do affect image quality by all accounts.
Using FD lenses on an EOS body is not commonly done for this very reason.

There is a genuine Canon adapter. It was aimed at pros with expensive telephoto FD lenses in order for them to move across to the EOS system. Unfortunately, it's as rare as hens teeth and very expensive.

but there is hope - albeit with the loss of infinity focus, but its maybe worth a try at the price..
