I have an ipad Air and am looking at using it to down load photos to an external SSD and edit whilst away. I use a canon r6 and shoot in raw. I have a USB-C docking station for the SD card and external SSD. The iPad recognises both when connected - so far so good.
However, when I put the SD card in the reader and open the photos folder it appears to down load the data but doesn’t show the photo. If I then try to copy to the ssd it shows the ’picture holder’ no picture, andgives zero kilobytes. If I try and add to Lightroom the pictures won’t open.
Strangly if I rename the sd card from eos-digital the photos show!!! Has anyone else experienced this or have a suggestion. When the sd card is reformatted in camera it goes back to the eos title.
