Hi all
I have two Canon 1000f cameras at the moment and both have temperamental shutter operation due to the rather epic design flaw outlined here:

The fix works, temporarily for about half a roll of film and then it fails again.
Hsa anyone got any suggestions for an affordable Canon film camera with nice features, with a decent shutter assembly that isn't prone to these kind of failures. A fast shutter speed, up to 1/4000 or higher would be nice too, but not a necessity.
I would change over to something else like Nikon or Minolta but I recently bought a rather nice 50mm f/1.8 mark I and I'm not looking to get rid of it.
