As above, tamron 17-50 2.8 or sigma 18-50 2.8 and why?
I purchased a used Sigma 18-50mm f2.8 about a year ago (it was a year old at the time) and it broke last week (zoom ring stopped working.)
During the past year I owned it, I found it to be an excellent lens and was on my camera about 90% of the time (see my Flickr for example shots.)
However, I have now just ordered a Tamron 17-50mm f2.8 to replace it because from what I have read, it is a bit more flare resistant and AF is a little faster (if noisier.)
If I had the money, I'd get the Canon 17-55mm f2.8 IS![]()
I got mine refurbed from warehouse express for about half price!
thats where i work, and we've only got brand new stock in at the mo, and the staff discount isnt to favourable lol
I keep looking out for mail order returns coming in, but all they have is a tamron 17-50 2.8 for £299.99 which is more than i can buy it elsewhere for lol

:shrug:I rarely use Warehouse Express these days...last thing I bought was the Color Checker Passport, as i could pick it up in person as local and the price was £5 cheaper than anywhere else...
As for their "bargain bin" they often reduce their price of a £300 lens by £5
I did think staff discount was quite generous at cost price of the item plus VAT...
