I have a quick question and yes I have looked in the manual!
I have a Canon EOS 60D. The focus beep works on the basic modes but not when any creative zone is selected. Is this right or is there a way of activating the beep in all modes?

What is the AF mode in creative? AI Servo mode by any chance?

Yup got there first lol, AI servo dosen't lock the AF it constantly tracks, if you want it to look change your AF setting to One shot if you want it to lock as "normal". AI Focus means the camera decides which focus setting to use, can be hit and miss, mostly miss for me.
