Has anyone used the genuine Canon filter adapter? Recommended or not?

I don't have any experience of the canon one but if you're interested I have the lensmate 2 piece one that was designed for the g10, but also fits the g11 and, I believe, the g12.

Excellent quality, black metal, allows 72mm filters to be used even at widest focal length. Cost about £40 new......yours for £25!
