Hi all,
I'm considering updating my printer (HP Envy 5640) to a Canon G7050. I would love a straight up photo printer, but have the added issue of needing to scan and copy for working (non-photographic) at home.
I also like the idea of the Megatank ink system too.
Has anybody got one of these and are they any good? I was nudged towards this model by a colleague who really rates Canon printers and this is the best model I could find that's in budget and has the other functionality.
I rarely print photos but the HP unit I currently own just plain refuses to print in anything other than a milky opaque image. I've tried new inks, different papers, different machines and operating sytems to no avail.
HP say it's my third party equipment and the third parties say its the printer, so it's time for a change methinks.
