Canon Ixus failure - what to replace with?

Hi all

My canon ixus 510 has suffered from the dreaded lens error and is currently winging its way back to Amazon for a refund (they might pay no UK tax but I've always found their customer service to be very good!)

Question is what to get as a replacement? This is for a highly portable camera to use for snapshots, mainly of the kids but of anything else that catches my eye whilst out and about. I had a black 510 but have seen a gorgeous red Ixus 500 for less than £90 (I paid £210 for the 500 when I bought it). As I never got the hang of the wifi on the 510 and didn't really like the touchscreen this is looking a really good option.

The canon 260hs has also caught my eye, mainly because of the fantastic 20x optical zoom and slightly wider angle lens, I can get one of these for c.£150.

Anyone got any thoughts on these options (or alternatives)? I am mainly looking at Canon out of brand loyalty (I also have a Canon SLR) but would be prepared to look at other brands for the right camera. Main criteria are:

Portability - has to be small and light (pocket size)
Low light - needs decent low light quality for indoor shots
Style - I know that shouldn't matter for a quality camera, but in this case I would like something sleek

All thoughts greatly appreciated.
