Yes
I recently got a 500D and have a Blackcap that has overwintered in my garden, It uses a feeder but its to far away for my kit lens, I want to get an L series tele so am holding out untill I have the funds, But, I have a screw thread Sussian Tair 300mm and have seen a T2 adapter, Question is, Is this able to fit this lens to my Canon albeit at manual focus, And am assuming it will be an equivalent of about 460mm?

If the Tair uses an M42 (I think) thread for connection, then a T2 (might be T) is the way to go. This is how I connect my 450d to my Telescope.

You should be able to make that fit no problem, 480mm equivalent. Manual focus of course but you should be able to meter TTL, and even shoot on Av with the lens set to the working f/number.

Thanks guy`s, I have googled and found an item described as a `T2 AF confirm mount`,One advertiser describes an `on-board circuit`.
