Canon lens choice

Can anyone point me in the direction of any thread which compares the merits or otherwise of Canon's 85f1.2L II, 135f2 L and 200f2.8 L I or II, vs the 85f1.8 & the new 70-200f2.8 L IS II.

The second combo is cheaper, and less to carry in terms of pure weight and number of lenses. Is the IQ trade off at all noticeable? Obviously f1.2 no longer possible, nor f2 at 135...

Can't point you in the direction of a specific thread but google threw up plenty last time I looked. Personally I have the 85 f1.8 and the 135 f2L. Both great lenses and I wouldn't trade the 135L for the world!

I'm sure the small IQ difference would be more than compensated by the flexibility of the zoom if that's what you need though. As always, depends on your circumstances.

it all depends on if you really need the extra wide apertures. I don't believe that in reality you'll notice any difference in IQ unless you're making massive prints. All 5 lenses mentioned are superb.
