Canon lens repair

The IS mechanism on my Canon 17-55 EFs lens is playing up. Sometimes it works properly and at others it just vibrates and will not stabilise. I suspect it is the IS on'off switch.
Can anyone please recommend a reliable repairer in the Gloucester aree - preferably Canon approved?

You'll see links for all authorised repair centres, personally I'd sent it to Canon Elstree - if it's a wear and tear issue it will probably be a fixed price repair - give them a call when the office opens after the break, they are very helpful.
