Canon lens spare parts

are spares, such as focus motors etc, still available for the MK1 EF300/400 f2.8 non is lenses?

I'm sure I've seen someone recently being told by Canon they are no longer serviceable.

Those lenses are not officially supported by Canon any more, which means that Canon are no longer manufacturing any spares. Logically it seems likely that there might be spares around that were manufactured but have not yet been used, but I have no idea how one would go about locating them.

I wonder if someone like Canon Elstree would have some parts and do repairs if possible but not officially support them as they couldnt offer a complete service just something with the bits they have lying around?

It's Canon that pull the plug on repairs. If Canon no longer support the lens you've have to scout 3rd party repairers not Canon
