Canon listen at last

About time too! All they need to do now is bundle a lens hood with their lenses!

Nothing' until you fit a deep lens hood!

Don't Marumi (or similar) do them for about 1/10th the price (guessing!) of "genuine" Canon ones?

I don't know about you, but i tend to take the lens cap off before i put the hood on...

About time!!!! I have a load of the cheap eBay copies but the lettering doesn't last long.

Me too, and I'm a Nikon user who has always had centre pinch caps! I also have large, fat fingers, so the cutouts on the centre pinch types are often not deepe enough for me to get a proper grip on the cap! Never pinged one off into the front element but have fired them off my fingers into the grass/carpet on occasion...

Paid 99p inc 1st class postage for one a while back for my Tamron lens after I lost the original - don't think the seller will be making his fortune off them.
