Canon LP-E5?

I got a warranty replacement 500D and I opened it today to find the LP-E5 battery has a new look. Just a quick question.... is this a genuine Canon battery or have they somehow put a aftermarket one in?

All my old LP-E5's just had the Canon logo on them... this one has a warning plastered all over the front, as well as the Canon logo?

I've just looked at mine...3 of them a year old and 3 almost new and they're all identical.

Seems a little odd! Perhaps my camera is very latest batch and they have put the warning on new batteries, I can't image it would be non canon as the box still had seal.

Agree with that, esp if it was a warrenty replacement direct from Canon and the box was sealed. If you're unsure and want reassuring, give Canon Elstree a bell tomorrow and ask
