I've had a read through a few threads on here but still need a bit of advice.
I've recently returned from a trip to Jordan and discovered that I got a lot of lens flare when taking photos due to the high levels of sun light. I found that this was reduced when taking my UV lens filter off but still had some.
I tried to solve this by using a rubber lens hood but had a LOT of vignetting at 18mm, some of which wasn't visible when framing...Looking at the standard fitment hood that Canon sell this doesn't look big enough to do anything?
So, I'd like to get a petal hood but will this be a problem due to the type of lens I have? Its a Canon 450d with the standard 58mm diameter 18-55 EF-S.
Any help or advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Alex
