Hey guys,

A mate of mine has a 450D which is about 16 months old. he charged the battery up fully before a trip last week and when he put it in the camera it refuses to turn on.
He has taken it out again, checked all the contacts, tried recharging it and putting it back in, but to no avail.

Just wondered if any of you guys may have some ideas I could throw his way???

Someone mentioned that replacing the clock battery may fix it, but how do you get to this?

cheers in advance.

Try a different battery, if it works then it's a dead battery. If not take it in for a service. Sounds like he's tried about everything else!

he's going to try and get hold of a new battery to give it a try

Hi I had this problem with mine a few times last year, I knew the battery was ok but it just refused to turn on. After taking it in and out a few times it would come on. In the end I sent it back to canon as it was still under warrenty and they repaired it. I think they said it was the contacts but could not be sure.
